FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets are in high demand as fans are eager to watch top football stars like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo live in action. FIFA announced in October that over one million tickets have already been sold for next year’s tournament, which will be hosted by the US, Canada and Mexico. Now, fans have another opportunity to grab their seats.
FIFA World Cup 2026: How to register for tickets
The second phase of early ticket registration begins on October 27 and will remain open until October 31.
Fans aged 18 and above who want to buy tickets must first register and create a “FIFA ID” on the official FIFA website. Those selected will be given a specific time slot to buy tickets, depending on availability and FIFA’s terms and conditions.
How does the ticket draw work?
Fans selected in this phase will be able to buy tickets between mid-November and early December. A third round, known as the random selection draw, will open after the final team draw on December 5, which will set the official World Cup match schedule.
Ticket categories and pricing
Tickets are divided into four categories – category 1 provides the best views of the pitch, while category 4 includes seats located higher in the stands. For the first time, FIFA is introducing dynamic pricing, so ticket prices may fluctuate depending on demand.
FIFA has also said that more tickets will be available closer to the tournament on a “first-come, first-served basis,” giving late buyers another opportunity.
How much do tickets cost?
The cheapest tickets – starting at $60 (Rs 5,300) – were available for around 40 matches. However, most games are priced much higher. The opening match in Inglewood, California, saw prices ranging from $560 to $2,735 (Rs 49,471 to Rs 2,41,000) when sales began. On resale sites, one ticket for that match was listed for a staggering $61,642 (Rs 54,45,000) in October.
