India A triumphed over India C by 132 runs to win the Duleep Trophy on Sunday, thanks to stellar performances from Tanush Kotian and Prasidh Krishna, who took three wickets each. Chasing a target of 350, India C collapsed to 217 all out in 81.5 overs, despite a valiant century from Sai Sudharsan, who scored 111 runs.

Resilient Performance Secures Top Spot

Entering the final round with six points, India A was three points behind India C, who led with nine. However, the ‘A’ team showcased resilience and skill, securing their place at the top of the points table with a total of 12 points from three matches.

On the final day, India C’s chase began promisingly, reaching 169 for three at tea. Sudharsan, along with Ishan Kishan, seemed to be steering the team towards their target. However, the tide turned when Kotian dismissed Kishan for 17 and followed up with the wickets of Abhishek Porel and Pulkit Narang, triggering a mini-collapse.

Earlier, India A declared their second innings at 286 for six, bolstered by fifties from Riyan Parag (73) and Shashwat Rawat (53). This declaration set a formidable lead of 349 runs.

With Krishna and Kotian leading the bowling attack, India A’s victory was sealed when Krishna dismissed Anshul Kamboj and Baba Indrajith for ducks, highlighting their dominant performance throughout the match.
