Where will the Asia Cup take place?
The Asia Cup will be held from September 9 to September 28 in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament 0f 19 matches will be co-hosted by two venues: Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi and Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The opening match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong will be played in Abu Dhabi, while the final will take place in Dubai. The entire tournament, consisting of 19 matches, will be split between these two stadiums.
Why is India not hosting the Asia Cup 2025?
India was designated to host the 2025 Asia Cup, but will not be staging the tournament due to a recent conflict with Pakistan. Recently, the two nations have decided to play their matches at neutral venues in major international tournaments, including the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy hosted by Pakistan. Therefore, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has relocated the entire Asia Cup to the UAE to simplify logistics and accommodate the tournament’s schedule.
When are the India vs Pakistan match and the final in the Asia Cup 2025?
The group stage match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for Sunday, September 14, in Dubai. However, the two teams can play against each other three times in the tournament if they both advance to the Super 4 stage and the final.
