HTC U11 EYEs was finally launched in China and Taiwan on Monday. HTC has priced the smartphone at 3,299 yuan (roughly Rs. 32,500) and it will be available via flash sale via HTC’s online store in Sunny Red, Hyun Blue Silver, and Goggles Black colours. The registrations for HTC U11 EYEs commence today, i.e., January 15, while the smartphone will go on its first sale on January 25. The company had earlier teased the launch of the smartphone, which was also leaked by Evan Blass. The HTC U11 EYEs touts dual cameras on the front along with a 3930mAh battery – the biggest battery on an HTC smartphone to date.
HTC U11 EYEs Specifications
The HTC U11 EYEs is a dual SIM (hybrid) smartphone that runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC Sense skin on top. The smartphone has a reflective surface that HTC likes to call ‘Aqua Glass’ surface. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor alongside 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded via microSD card of up to 2TB. The HTC U11 EYEs houses a 6.0-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) Super LCD3 18:9 display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
As for the cameras, the HTC U11 EYEs sports a dual camera setup on the front. There are two 5-megapixel shooters with f/2.2 aperture each on the front that offer Bokeh effect to the selfies. The screen of the smartphone acts as a flash to give ample light in dark conditions. HTC claims a real-time beautification feature that will improve selfies while you are taking them. On the rear side, the smartphone has a 12-UltraPixel sensor with HTC’s UltraPixel 3 technology and f/1.7 aperture. There is also a dual LED flash module given in the smartphone.
The HTC U11 EYEs comes with face unlock feature, that allows you to unlock the device by just looking at it. It also features HTC USonic sound technology along with active noise reduction for a better sound experience. The smartphone comes with IP67 dust and water resistance for outdoor use. HTC has equipped the smartphone with its Edge Sense, which is essentially a feature that triggers different actions such as clicking photos, start Google Assistant, and open an app by just pressing on the sides of the smartphone. The HTC U11 EYEs packs a 3930mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
The connectivity options in HTC U11 EYEs include Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, DLNA, 4G VoLTE, and OTG among others. The smartphone measures 157.9×74.99×8.5mm and weighs 185 grams.
