AP Budget FY25: The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday presented a budget of Rs 2,94,427.25 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25, with revenue expenditure estimated at Rs 2,35,916.99 crore and capital expenditure at Rs 32,712.84 crore. Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, while presenting the budget in the state Assembly, said the estimated revenue deficit for the year is Rs 34,743.38 crore, or 2.12% of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP). The fiscal deficit is projected to be Rs 68,742.65 crore, or 4.19% of the GSDP. The presentation was boycotted by the opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP).
