Like every year, this year’s Char Dham yatra also commenced with zeal and enthusiasm on May 10.
As per reports, till Wednesday, 3,34,732 people from India and abroad have visited the shrines to offer prayers. On April 25, registration for the yatra had started.
On Thursday, the Uttarakhand government decided not to allow the practice of VIP darshan at the Char Dham temples. Also, the state government has imposed a ban on videography and making social media reels within a 50-metre radius of the shrines, said officials aware of the matter.
