Rajinikanth starrer Kabali box office collections, Salman Khan starrer Sultan, Irrfan Khan's Madaari, John Abraham and Varun Dhawan's Dishoom, the month of July has been one sensational month for the Indian film industry as far as box office collections are concerned. While Kabali collection numbers have skyrocketed to the No. 1 position in the country with its best-ever figures, Sultan too had threatened to do the same but was not able to keep the pace in its third week in cinemas. Madaari, Great Grand Masti and now Dishoom have added to the July windfall and it well turn into the best month in the entire year. It will really take a massive combo effort, on the lines of Kabali and Sultan, again to unseat the month from the top of the collections chart. But that does not look like happening as there are no big stars on the horizon except Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar with Mohenjo Daro and Rustom, but they have messed up the dates and will release on the same date in August which will hit their collections pretty badly. So, take a look at the best of Indian cinema and how well these did at the B.O. (YouTube official video)

Kabali box office collections: Rajinikanth starrer Kabali has just taken everyone's breath away with its sensational speed, reach and depth of achievements. All records have been smashed and the film is barely 11 days into the cinemas. Where it will stop is still unclear but for all intents and purposes, the film has thrown a daunting challenge to the Bollywood superstars who have been left wondering what hit them after they were knocked off their perches by the Rajinikanth express. Kabali collectionis are as high as Rs 211 crore in India, which has not really done any magic, but it is the overall collection figure that is continuing to shock 'n awe all concerned. This figure at the moment is Rs 670 crore and it is being added to day by day at a fast enough clip. (YouTube official video)

Sultan box office collections: Salman Khan's Sultan started sensationally well. It minted money in crores in double digits for days and days. When it looked like nothing could stop it from powering to the very top by beating Aamir Khan's PK, the film just fell apart as the hordes disappeared from the turnstiles. So, what do we have at the end of the day? Sultan collection over a 26-day run is Rs 296.86 crore in India and overall the figure is Rs 568.76 crore. (YouTube official video)
Madaari box office collections: Versatile actor Irrfan Khan starrer Madaari received rave reviews and was a thriller that should have done better than what it ultimately managed. It would have appealed to a discerning audience. However, Madaari producers ruined the film's chances by messing up the timing of the movie. They put it in cinemas and it promptly ran head on into Salman Khan's Sultan. The result was more than predictable. Thin crowds and even lesser collections. It was a shame! Madaari ultimately ended up with India collections of Rs 14 crore and overall score of Rs 20.94 crore. Sad reflection of reality in India is that quality cinema just does not get its due. Great Grand Masti box office collections: Having said that, another release by Bollywood that, we feel, actually got its due was the atrocious Great Grand Masti. It was all about under-dressed women, heaving bosoms and sexual inuendo. The film starred Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasini, Vivek Oberoi, Urvashi Rautela and Shraddha Das, while it was directed by Indra Kumar. It was a disaster at the B.O. with collections of just Rs 13.52 cr in India and overall worldwide it was an even bigger failure with a minuscule collection. The final tally (India-Overall) was Rs 18.92 crore. (YouTube official video)

Dishoom box office collections: And last, but not the least, the latest film to hit cinemas last Friday (29th July) was Dishoom. It is a bromance thriller and John Abraham and Varun Dhawan manage to carry it off very well. Although its collection was hurt to a large extent by the rain gods, yet it still managed to do well with an opening weekend collection of Rs 37.32 crore in India alone and an overall figure of Rs 64.47 crore.
