NEET result 2016: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced NEET 2016 result— phases 1 and 2 on Tuesday- a day before the scheduled declaration of results on website aipmt.nic.in. The Supreme Court had earlier directed the Board to put the results online on or before August 17, 2016.

NEET result 2016: The all-India topper for NEET 2016, Het Shah from Nadiad, Gujarat, who was being trained at a coaching institute in Kota, scored 685 out of 720. Ekansh Goyal from Odisha (682 marks) stood second and Nikhil Bajiya from Rajasthan (678 marks) stood third. (PTI)

NEET result 2016: 8,02,594 candidates applied for NEET 2016 exam out of of which 7,31,223 took the NEET 2016 exam. 19,325 students qualified in the top 15%, of which 11,058 are boys, 8,266 girls, and 1 is a transgender. Though out of the 7,31,223 students who took the two editions of NEET-Undergraduate 2016-17, 4,09,477 qualified as per Medical Council of India’s regulations. Nine transgenders had written the exam and four qualified.
NEET result 2016: Girls outnumbered boys among qualifiers as out of 4,09,477 eligible for MBBS admissions, 2, 26,049 are girls and 1,83,424 are boys. he qualifying percentile for MBBS students in unreserved category this year is 50th. OBC, SC and ST students who have secured 40th percentile have qualified and physically handicapped (unreserved) who secured 45th percentile are eligible for admission. (PTI)
