In a proud moment, three Indian cities have been listed in Knight Frank survey of the top cities of highest yields for prime office space as a shortage of supply allows owners to push up rents. Tech hub Bengaluru has been ranked as the highest yield at 10 percent. While the second place has been secured by Gurugram (Delhi NCR), followed by Mumbai at third. Speaking to Deccan Herald, Viral Desai, a senior Knight Frank India official, said that India’s office market witnessed a stellar run in 2016 as compared to the recent past. Desai added that it can be fairly accepted that India is home to some of the most affordable Central Business Districts in the world. 1) Bengaluru: Karnataka capital Bengaluru has been ranked world’s most affordable technology hub. As accessed by Deccan Herald, the report says that eastern Whitefield area in the eastern Bengaluru is the most affordable technology district, with a rent of $9.65 (Rs 632) per sq feet. 2) Gurugram: With a rent of $20.40 (Rs 1,335) per sq feet, Gurugram is the only other Indian tech hub featured on the list.
