Giving a big diplomatic push to ties with Middle Eastern countries, Indian Navy's warships, submarine and reconnaissance aircraft are on deployment to Western Arabian Sea and Southern Indian Ocean. Indian Naval Ship Mumbai and submarine Shishumar entered Duqm, Oman today as part of this deployment. India and Oman bilateral relations were formally established with the 1953 Indo-Oman Treaty of Friendship, Navigation and Commerce.
