Asus Zenfone Selfie

Asus Zenfone Selfie's biggest USP is of course the 13-megapixel camera on the front and back. Also the front camera has wide-view and auto-focus with LED flash. The other advantage with the Zenfone Selfie is that it runs Android Lollipop 5.0 which is the latest version of Android that has been rolled-out. (Android M is still in developer preview). In addition to this, the Zenfone Selfie has a 5.5-inch Full HD 1920×1080 screen with a pixel density of 403 PPI, with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to protect the screen from scratches and has anti-fingerprint coating. Zenfone Selfie’s dimensions are 156.5 x 77.2 x 10.8 (WxDxH) and it weighs 170 g. The device comes in two RAM and memory space options. The processor is Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 615. In RAM, there are two versions with 2GB and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. In storage space, it comes in a 16 and a 32 GB version. A microSD slot is supported with 64 GB as the limit. This is a dual-SIM smartphone with Support for 2G/3G/4G on one SIM and Support for 2G on the other SIM. In terms of other connectivity options, it supports WLAN 802.11 b/g/n/ac, USB, Bluetooth V4.0 and also TDD LTE which means the phone should be a 4G-capable device when it launches in India. The Zenfone Selfie has a 3000 mAh Li-Polymer. Sensors in the Zenfone Selfie are Accelerator, G-Sensor, E-Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient Light Sensor and Hall Sensor.

Micromax Canvas Selfie

The Micromax Canvas Selfie's USP is the price. The smartphone costs only Rs 14,647 on Flipkart. The Canvas Selfie's specs are: 4.7-inch HD IPS display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Android Kitkat OS, 1.7 GHz True-Octacore processor from MediaTek. The phone has a 2300 mAh battery and 2GB RAM along with 16GB ROM which can expanded to 32GB if needed. In short, while the price is less for the Canvas Selfie, don't expect a lot of memory space. The screen size is also smaller compared to the Zenfone Selfie. This is also a dual-SIM smartphone. Of course, it has both 13 megapixel cameras on the front and rear, along with tools like Eye Enhancement, face slimming and skin smoothening for your selfies. However as we had noted the software does not really offer very great results, but then this is a mid-budget device after all. As we had saw in our review, the Canvas Selfie does the job quite well and is a great option for those who don't have Rs 20,000 to shell out on a smartphone.

HTC Desire Eye

The HTC Desire Eye is the high-range selfie camera smartphone for those with a big budget. It features a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. In addition to this the HTC Desire Eye has 16GB storage expandable up to 128GB. Of course, the cameras are 13MP both on the front and rear. It also has NFC, 4G LTE, and a 2400 mAh battery. So how is the Selfie Experience in the HTC Desire Eye? In our review, we called this, the best selfie camera smartphone around. Another feature is that the HTC Desire Eye lets you take click a selfie and regular rear camera shot at the same time and has a very powerful flash along with the f2.2 wide angle front lens. As we saw, clicking selfies in the dark was very easy and the video quality is also great on both sides.
