<br>Special Suvidha Express train for Raksha Bandhan</br> <br>In order to clear extra rush of passengers on the eve of Raksha Bandhan, the Northern Railways has decided to run Suvidha Express between Delhi and Lucknow in the last week of this month. New Delhi-Lucknow-New Delhi Suvidha Superfast Express special train will make a single to and fro trip, bookings for which opens tomorrow, a senior Northern Railways official said today. The fare structure in Suvidha trains, which have replaced the Premium trains since July, are higher than the normal trains. The minimum fare in Suvidha service is the Tatkal fare for the particular class, which goes up depending on the demand. Fares would increase after booking of every 20 per cent of berths, subject to maximum three times of the Tatkal fare, the official said. (PTI) (17/8/2015)</br>

Tickets cancellations: About 1.9 lakh tickets cancelled since May 21 on IRCTC website, causing a huge logjam for customers to access the site. The cancellation/diversion of trains has lead to an unprecedented level of cancellations of reservations and revised reservation requests. (PTI)

Indian Railways website affected: The cancellation of trains has also led to a sudden upsurge of hits on the IRCTC Website. The number of hits between 10 AM and 11 AM which were normally in the range of 10 million have gone up to 22.3 million since start of agitation, touching a peak of 30 million on May 22. IRCTC ticketing site is not geared for such abnormal increase of traffic and hence reported problems. (PTI)
