"I have planned to become an IAS officer and serve the country and bring about changes in the administration," she said. (PTI) (18/05/2015) <br>Air India pilot arrested in UAE:</br> A senior Air India pilot, who was found to be allegedly drunk by Sharjah International Airport security just prior to flying, has been let off with a warning by the UAE authorities. The commander of a Delhi-bound Air India flight from Sharjah via Kochi was replaced and taken off duty after security personnel at the airport suspected the behaviour of the pilot and questioned him, only to find out that he was under the influence of alcohol, the Khaleej Times reported today. He was also arrested briefly after the Saturday incident, due to which 120 passengers of Flight AI 934 faced a delay of three hours after the airline was asked to provide another pilot. The senior pilot was made to undergo a breathalyzer test and was found to be under the influence of alcohol, following which he was not allowed to fly the aircraft. "Delhi government stands by its order to remove Majumdar from the post of Principal Secretary Service and GAD, which was issued on Saturday after he issued the appointment letter to Gamlin, following instructions from Lt Governor Najeeb Jung," senior official said. He further said that Majumdar is still with Delhi government as Principal Secretary but without any charge. A federation of sanitation workers of NDMC today met North Delhi Mayor Ravinder Gupta and demanded from him that their due salaries be paid on time. The Mayor told the members of the federation that despite meeting the chief minister, the deputy chief minister and even Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, no heed has been given to them and their demands in connection with the release of due funds, the civic body claimed. Priyanka Sen securing 99.5 per cent in the Humanities stream was second topper, the school said in a statement. While, Megha Chakraborty raked third in Humanities again with obtaining 99.25 per cent marks. In his message to the Daxingshan Temple in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province during his three-day visit to China on Thursday, Modi praised a monk for his contributions to Buddhism and spoke of man's search for world peace. However, his insights were lost on the monks as the message was in the Prime Minister's native Gujarati, Li Li'an, a professor from Xi'an's Northwest University who examined it told state-run Global Times. The text was finally sent to an Indian friend, who translated it into Hindi. Guan then translated it into English, which Li finally presented in Chinese. Li said that Modi wrote in Gujarati to honour Dharmagupta, a fellow Gujarati who lived at the temple during the Sui Dynasty (581-618).
