Ads bearing Arvind Kejriwal images not removed in city, alleges Congress:

Delhi Congress alleged that advertisements bearing images of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal were still on display at public places in the city despite the Supreme Court order. "It was surprising that an elected representative, CM of a state who is a keeper and maker of law, is himself defying the court order," DPCC spokesperson Sharmishtha Mukherjee claimed. She alleged that advertisements carrying Kejriwal's photographs were "yet to be removed" from various public places in the city. "You can not expect the taxpayer to help the government. We strongly demand an audit of the money spent on advertisements for extra days (of display), after the Supreme Court order and it should be paid for by Kejriwal or the Aam Admi Party," Mukherjee said. Can't pass law for Ram temple in Ayodhya, says Rajnath Singh: A dearth of majority in the Upper House of Parliament was coming in the way of BJP to bring in a motion and make law for construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya, Union Home minister Rajnath Singh today said. Construction of a Ram Temple in Ayodhya was among the promises made by BJP in its election manifesto which it had released in the run up to last year's General elections. Some other contentious issues like abrogation of Article 370 which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir and enactment of Uniform Civil Code were also promised in the party's manifesto. "BJP does not have a majority in Rajya Sabha, so this time it is not possible to bring motion in the Parliament to make law for the construction of Ram temple," the senior BJP leader said.(PTI) (10/05/2015)

(Image caption: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh being welcomed by Gyan Das, mahant of Hanumangari temple in Ayodhya)

Narendra Modi calls for building 'Team India': Prime Minister Narendra Modi today made a vigorous pitch for the Centre and states to work together as 'Team India' to take the country forward, a view endorsed by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. And in comforting words to the fiery Trinamool Congress chief, Modi expressed confidence that West Bengal, whose progress, he said, had earlier determined the country's economic development, would surely bounce bank in the coming days and become an "important economic power". Vowing to work with the states to "take India forward", the Prime Minister said it has been a "misfortune" that in the past there have been tensions between states and the Centre. "I too have been a Chief Minister for many years and I know that this attitude (of the Centre) towards states will not help anyone. Our Constitution has given us a federal structure. But unfortunately Centre-state relations have always come under stress", he said after the inauguration of modernised IISCO Steel Plant here in the presence of Banerjee.(PTI) (10/05/2015)

(Image caption: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses during the dedication of the Modernized and expanded IISCO Steel Plant to the nation at Polo Ground in Asansol.)
