The 50-share NSE Nifty managed to end in positive zone for the sixth consecutive day with a marginal rise of 2.05 points or 0.02 per cent at 8,780.35. Intra-day it moved in the range of 8,787.40 to 8,733.60. Snapping its three-day losing streak, gold prices recovered by Rs 50 to Rs 26,800 per 10 grams at the bullion market today on increased buying by jewellers at prevailing levels amid a firm global trend. Silver also edged up by Rs 100 to Rs 36,750 per kg on better offtake by industrial units and coin makers.
