India is currently experiencing heavy rainfall in various parts of the country. From the southern to the northern regions, this widespread rainfall has caused rivers to swell and flood-like situations in Gujarat. In its latest report, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted extremely intense rainfall to persist in Kutch and Saurashtra. Meanwhile, overnight rains have resulted in major waterlogging in Delhi and disrupted traffic, too. The situation in Gujarat has shown slight improvement as rainfall activity has lessened but several other regions including Vadodara remain in a flood-like situation because of overflowing rivers. Here is a pictorial presentation on the impacts of these rainfalls all over the country.
