The spectacular opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024 was held on the Seine River on Friday. For the first time, the opening ceremony took place outside of a typical stadium, with the famed Parisian river transformed into a huge stage. Thousands of athletes and performers paraded along the River waving to the fans who had gathered on both sides of the River. The Eiffel Tower was also lit up in a dramatic technicolour, producing a massively ambitious, one-of-a-kind show.
