Plane rage reports soared almost 17 percent worldwide in 2015, with incidents such as passengers being verbally abusive and refusing to listen to cabin crew occurring on one out of every 1,205 flights, the international trade association for airlines said on Wednesday.
With no solution on the horizon in the near term coming from the Dubai International Airport authorities, Spicejet has announced that it will not be able to fly any one to the city and that its flights stand cancelled. Spicejet has announced that its flights to this popular destination have been diverted to the nearest possible airport and if this suits passengers they should get in touch with the airline and list their preference. -
Here is what Spicejet said in a statement, "In the wake of the Emirates aircraft crash landing at Dubai airport yesterday and in accordance with the instructions from the Dubai Airport Authorities, all our flights to and from Dubai have been canceled. We are taking all possible measures towards passenger convenience and ensuring food and refreshments are being provided to all of them. Our flights to Dubai have been diverted to the following airports – Al Maktoum International Airport, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Sharjah International Airport. We are arranging alternate mode of travel from these airports so that our passengers can reach Dubai city."
