
Deen Dayalu coaches, a Rail Budget 2016 proposal by Suresh Prabhu, are all set for operation on major routes of the Indian Railways. The first of the non-AC coaches has been inaugurated by the Railway Minister, and subsequently over the period of this year, ICF (Integral Coach Factory) will be manufacturing 415 Deen Dayalu coaches. These unreserved coaches have been proposed on high-density routes. Though more facilities have been provided in the coach, fares will be kept the same. According to Ved Prakash, Director Information & Publicity at Ministry of Railways, "These coaches have much better seats than other non-AC second class coaches. They have been provided with many facilities that would make the journey of a second-class train traveller more comfortable." <br/><br/> Prakash told FE Online that these coaches will be fitted on trains from Delhi to Mumbai, Delhi to Kolkata among other busy routes.
