Ford Figo Sedan: Ford Figo Sedan was seen during the Auto Expo 2014 and has been highly anticipated by the Indian audience ever since. This beautifully crafted car has already made its way in the Brazilian market under a different name Ford Ka+. Volkswagen Vento compact sedan: Volkswagen has already updated its Polo and Vento cars last year, it has expressed its interest in the compact sedan segment as well. Having said that, a mini Vento may hit the market this year which can fill the gap between Polo and Vento. The car is reported to be based on new Polo hatch and would house-in the same 1.5L diesel engine.

Chevrolet Beat Sedan: Chevrolet Beat has been the pick of Chevrolet vehicles by far as cars like Sail sedan and Sail-UVA hatch have struggled in the past. Even though Beat has done very well so far, the competition has become quite stiff and is gradually eating its market share. Recently, rumours have crept up that the company may come out with a compact sedan based on Beat that would have similar 1.2 litre petrol and 1.0 litre diesel engine options.

Tata Kite Sedan: There could be a new replacement for Indigo eCS in the form of Tata Kite sedan. The leaked images of the compact sedan have already emerged and it would be interesting to see what comes out in the end. But even if that is the case, Tata Kite Sedan would not be the only compact sedan from the company in India, as Zest is already available for sale and raking in good numbers. Kite Sedan on the other hand can be expected to have a 1.0 litre 3 cylinder diesel engine with a 5 speed manual transmission system. There are also rumors that it would come with a 1.2 litre petrol engine with the same 5 speed manual transmission system.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the most successful compact sedan in India. The market chunk acquired by this model was so much that it forced the brand like Honda and Hyundai to jump into the segment and cast their respective compact sedans in the scene. As both Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent earning immense reputation in the market, Maruti to keep its dominance is expected to deliver a facelifted version of Suzuki Dzire this year. The new version will come with more cosmetic upgrades along with some new features like push start/stop button. The year 2015 seems nicely set up for compact sedans and with companies looking to position their products at competitive pricing, the competition is going to be pretty interesting.
