The secret to success was not that Kapoor & Sons caught fire immediately at the box office. Quite the contrary in fact. The film started very slow, but it has maintained a steady pace since then. The secret to this massive collection is its longevity at the B.O., especially as no other rivals have risen to bring its run to a premature end. In fact, the film is in its second week now and not much competition is forthcoming from the recent release, the John Abraham starrer Rocky Handsome, which has not received good ratings from critics and is suffering at teh B.O. Karan Johar also lauded actor Fawad Khan for taking up the role of a homosexual in the film. "His energy in 'Kapoor & Sons' is so magnetic.
