The trend of Gen Alpha, declared as Dictionary.com’s word of the year, has died. Originating from ’42’ in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, it intentionally carries no meaning. Brands and parents tried to use it, but it became overexposed and annoying. It has been replaced by ’67’, causing backlash and controversy.
