This week was full of excitement courtesy the spy shots of Mahindra S101 with peeling camouflage and teaser images that confirmed the official name of Maruti YRA will be Maruti Baleno. Other surprises included discounts of up to 1 lakh by Maruti Suzuki on its latest offering, the Maruti S-cross, performance specifications of Abarth Punto Evo, and Rolls Royce’s introduction of some up-gradation for its iconic Phantom. The parent company of Rolls Royce, BMW also launched the updated 1 series at Rs 29.90 lakh, and X1 M at Rs 37.9 lakh. So let’s check out all that happened last week:

1. Mahindra S101 </br> A test mule of Mahindra’s upcoming S101 was spotted making rounds on the roads of Chennai. The car was out on a road-test, wrapped in camouflage. By the looks of it, one can deduce that the car was sporting a silver color scheme, which might be one of the colors in which the car will be offered. Mahindra will probably introduce S101 this fiscal year. The car is being categorized as a sub-compact crossover and will be Mahindra’s second monocoque-based product following TUV300. 2. Maruti Suzuki Baleno </br> A NEXA dealership from Bangalore has teased the silhouette of Maruti’s upcoming premium hatchback, <a href="http://www.cardekho.com/india-car-news/weekly-wrapup-we-drove-ford-figo-and-audi-rs6-avant-bmw-launches-1series-and-x1-m-performance-specs-of-abarth-punto-leaked-16699.htm"><strong>Baleno</strong></a>. The illustration clearly indicates that the company is going to name the car as Baleno, unlike previous hypothesis that directed towards a different name. 3. Maruti Suzuki S-Cross </br> India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is offering discount on its model S-Cross within just 2 months of its launch. 4. Ford Figo </br> We’ve seen a lot of successful hatchbacks turning into sub-4 metre compact sedans in the recent past. However the trend saw a flip last year when Tata launched its Zest in the first place instead of hatch counterpart Bolt. Now following the same path, Ford introduced the compact sedan Figo Aspire last month and the hatch sibling made its way earlier this week. 5. BMW series1 </br> An update for the BMW 1-series has been quietly introduced in India. The new car is now available with a price tag of 29.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Thane). We previously covered the car being showcased at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The updated hatchback comes with new SUV-esque look and shed the awkward station wagon-esque styling that received substantial criticism before. 2015 BMW 118d is only available in a single diesel engine option. 6. BMW X1 </br> BMW has launched the X1 sDrive20d M Sport in India at Rs 37.9 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi. The silent launch came with the introduction of a single variant that will be the only option from now on. Speaking of the car, there aren't much change from what we have seen on the X1 till now. 7. Maruti Suzuki ERTIGA </br> Country’s largest car manufacturer is gearing up to launch the 2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift on 10th October. A production spec version of the car was showcased at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show in August this year and it is expected that the Indian version will be identical to the one showcased. The original Ertiga MPV was able to register an impressive number of bookings within only a couple of months of its launch, which took place 3 years ago in 2012. 9. Fiat Abarth Punto </br> It’s been awhile since Fiat first introduced it’s souped-up hatchback under its Abarth performance brand. The Fiat Punto Abarth was first showcased at the Buddh International Circuit in August, following the launch of Abarth 595 Competizione edition. About a month later, information pertaining to the hot-hatch has been leaked online, indicating that the car will be available in three color schemes viz. black, white and matt grey. The car will also feature sporty aesthetics, courtesy of contrasting decals on the hood, roof, tailgate and doors. Fiat India also teased the car on its official website in a black and red color scheme, where it flaunted red accents on the grille and foglight enclosures. The car will tread on 16-inch Scorpion Sting alloy wheels that will go well with the Abarth trademark Scorpion badging, which replaces Fiat logos on the car.

10. Rolls Royce Phantom 2.0 Revises Aesthetics </br> Rolls-Royce Phantom is likely to come as a complete makeover, breaking the custom, after 10 years.
