IndusInd launches social network-based banking service </br><br> Mid-sized private sector lender IndusInd Bank today said it has also launched social network-based banking services for its customers. Using the services christened 'Onthego', a person can check balances, get a mini-statement, locate nearest ATM or branch and can also transfer money to their phone and social contacts using Facebook and Twitter, it said. "The Idea is to offer banking solutions seamlessly, wherever the user is, rather than expecting the user to come to any particular platform to get serviced," its head for savings, digital and payments business, Ritesh Raj Saxena said. "We have hit the 1 million mark, that too within a week of rollout. This is the fastest not just for wallets but for any digital product," Govind Rajan, Chief Operating Officer, FreeCharge and Chief Strategy Officer, Snapdeal said. FreeCharge was founded in 2010 by Kunal Shah and Sandeep Tandon and had received funding of over USD 120 million. Earlier this year, Snapdeal acquired FreeCharge. It has 27 million registered users.
