Top Indian car designer Dilip Chhabria has launched the country's first sportscar, the DC Avanti priced at between Rs 2.5-3.5 million, according to reports. "We are proud of the fact that the DC Avanti is indigenously designed and developed in India for Indian customers and for Indian roads. It's now a car that the young can aspire to. Usually, when you're young, you can't afford a sports car. But with this, we are trying to reach out to the young aspirants to be able to afford a sportscar because in other countries the sportscar is a huge segment by itself," Dilip Chhabria said at the launch event in Pune.
