The Passport Seva portal has encountered technical difficulties impacting negatively both the online application process and appointment scheduling for visits to Passport Seva Kendras nationwide. The portal is visited by numerous applicants daily.

For the past three days, the ongoing technical glitch has inconvenienced passport applicants. Despite repeated attempts, officials from the Passports Seva division of the Ministry of External Affairs couldn’t be reached, reported IE. However, an attendant at their toll-free helpline confirmed that portal issues were preventing any bookings from taking place, the report stated further.

“The website has been down for the past three days due to a technical issue. Our technical team is actively addressing it, but we haven’t received an estimated time for the restoration of normal services. As a result, people have been unable to book appointments in recent days,” stated the helpline attendant.

Some furious citizens took to social media to complain about the inconvenience.

The Passport Seva portal however mentions that the technical issues will be resolved by 12 PM on Friday, March 29 and the site will be back for citizens to use.
