The automotive major Tata Motors has announced its Q4FY25 results on May 15. The company has also declared a final dividend of Rs 6 per share for the fiscal year 2025, a 300% payout.
As per the regulatory filing , the dividend disclosed by the company will be paid to eligible shareholders before June 24.

Tata Motors: Dividend declared for FY25
Along with Q4FY25 performance, Tata Motors has declared a final dividend of Rs 6 per share, an increase from the Rs 3 per share declared in the previous year. This also included a special dividend. Furthermore, it translates to a 300% dividend payout.
The dividend, based on a face value of Rs 2 per share, will be paid out on or before June 24, 2025.
Tata Motors demerger update: On track for business split
As part of its ongoing restructuring efforts, the auto giant is moving ahead with its much-anticipated demerger. The shareholders approved the business split scheme earlier this month on May 6.
According to Tata Motors CFO, PB Balaji, “With the shareholders also approving the demerger, we are on track to realise the full potential of each of the businesses.”
Tata Motors Q4FY25 performance
For the January-March 2025 quarter, that is Q4FY25, Tata Motors reported a decline in net profit to Rs 8,470 crore, compared to Rs 17,552 crore in the same period last year. The dip in profit was mainly driven by a slight drop in total revenue, which stood at Rs 1.19 lakh crore, down from Rs 1.23 lakh crore in Q4 of FY24.
Despite this, Tata Motors’ operational performance remained strong, with an EBITDA of Rs 16,644 crore and a margin of 13.9%.
JLR’s contribution and commercial vehicle sales
Tata Motors luxury vehicle arm, Jaguar Land Rover, faced a decline in revenue by nearly 2%. However, the brand managed to maintain an EBITDA margin of 15%. In the commercial vehicle segment, Tata Motors saw a modest revenue drop of 0.5%. The passenger vehicle segment was the most affected, with a 13% decline in revenue during the quarter.

Tata Motors share price saw a dip of around 2.5% in early trading today, following the release of its Q4 earnings. Over the last year, the stock has experienced a decline of approximately 28%, although it has delivered a 12% return over the past 12 months. The company has a market capitalisation of Rs 2.57 lakh crore.
In 2025 so far, the share price of Tata Motors has fallen by 7%, and its 52-week high is Rs 535.75 and low is Rs 1,179 per share.
