Tata Motors
With an expanded product portfolio and a ramp-up in production, Tata Motors is looking to generate an income of around Rs 6,500 crore through the government’s scheme to promote electric vehicle (EV) sales in the next few years. The carmaker is hoping to generate Rs 4,000 crore from the passenger vehicle (PV) category, while the balance Rs 2,500 crore is expected to come from commercial vehicle (CV) sales under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for automobiles.
ONGC
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India has entered into an agreement with Japanese shipbuilding company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. As per the agreement, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines will build, own and operate two Very Large Ethane Carriers (VLEC), which will be used by ONGC for the import of ethane. According to an exchange filing by ONGC, the two companies signed a Heads of Agreement on July 3. The company said the arrangement is further subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.
Arkade Developers
Arkade Developers has signed a binding agreement to acquire the entire stake in Filmistan for around Rs 183 crore. This acquisition will give the company access to the iconic 4-acre land parcel in Goregaon West, known as Filmistan Studios. The deal is expected to be completed within a month.
Tata Power
Tata Power registered exponential growth in its renewable energy business in the first quarter of the financial year 2025-26. The company saw 112% year-on-year growth in its renewable energy commissioning in Q1FY26. Tata Power said in a statement that last year, in the first quarter of FY25, it commenced multiple solar projects with a combined capacity of 354 MW; however, this year, the company commenced solar projects of 752 MW capacity in Q1FY26.

BEML
The Indian Army has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to procure 400 High Mobility Reconnaissance Vehicles (HMRVs). BEML is in focus as this may give it an opportunity to increase its order book, long-term contracts, and boost indigenisation and technology upgrades. The contract will follow a single-stage, two-bid system, and vendors must offer at least 50 per cent indigenous content, in line with India’s defence procurement policy.

Jindal Steel and Power announced a major boost to its raw material portfolio on July 03 with the Government of Odisha issuing a Letter of Intent (LoI) for a 50-year mining lease for the Roida-I Iron Ore and Manganese Block, located in the mineral-rich Keonjhar District.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals
Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire an additional 2.41% stake in J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd for Rs 620 crore, at Rs 1,600 per share. The deal involves the purchase of 38.75 lakh equity shares from JB Chemicals employees, who are selling after exercising their stock options.
