The National Stock Exchange (NSE), in wake of MD & CEO Chitra Ramkrishna’s resignation,started the process of selecting a new chief and has set up a Selection Committee for this purpose, as per the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) guidelines.
The Selection Committee consists of, Dinesh Kanabar, Public Interest Director, NSE, T V Mohandas Pai, Public Interest Director, NSE, Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, as independent-external expert and Usha Thorat, ex-Deputy Governor, RBI, as independent, external expert. Following due process, the Committee will recommend the shortlisted names to the Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) and the Board of Directors (BoD) of NSE to take an appropriate decision.
