The global markets are trading on a lower note. The GIFT Nifty is trading 84 points, or 0.32%, lower at 25,840. Here are domestic as well as key global cues to watch before the market opens that include crude oil prices, FII and DII data, business groups that most affect, sectoral performance, etc.

Earlier on Thursday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session flat at 25,879, while the BSE Sensex rose 12 points to close at 84,478.

Bihar Election results

The Bihar Election results are the big sentimental cues for the market. The counting of polls is underway. The street is watching out for the results keenly. Mostly the market is factoring in a result similar to the Exit Polls, that indicate policy stability and cotinued strength for NDA at the centre.

US markets

The US equity benchmarks declined on Thursday night as Wall Street saw profit booking after two record-breaking sessions on the back of the U.S. government shutdown. Also, tech stocks were under immense pressure. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 797.60 points, or 1.65%, to settle at 47,457.22. The S&P 500 shed 1.66% to finish at 6,737.49. The Nasdaq Composite pulled back 2.29% to close at 22,870.36.

Asian Markets

The Asian markets opened lower in Friday’s early trade following the drop on Wall Street overnight as technology stocks continued to come under pressure and Fed rate-cut doubts swirled. Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 index lost 1.85%, while the Topix slid 1.03%. South Korea’s Kospi fell 2.29% and the small-cap Kosdaq was 1.42% lower. Futures for Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index pointed to a lower open, trading at 26,701, against the index’s previous close of 27,073.03.

US dollar 

The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the dollar’s value against a basket of six foreign currencies, was trading flat at 99.23 on Friday morning. The index evaluates the strength or weakness of the US dollar in comparison to major currencies. The basket contains currencies such as the British Pound, Euro, Swedish Krona, Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc, etc. The rupee depreciated 0.01% to close at 88.66 to the dollar on November 13. 

Crude oil

The crude oil prices traded on a higher note on Friday morning. WTI crude prices were trading at $59.21, up by 0.89%, while Brent crude prices were trading at $63.54, a rise of 0.84%. 

FII, DII data

Foreign institutional investors (FII) were the net sellers of shares worth Rs 383.68 crore. On the other hand, the Domestic institutional investors (DII) were the net buyers of shares worth Rs 3,091.87 crore on November 13, 2025, according to the provisional data available on the NSE.

Gold rate today 

The rate for 24-carat gold today is Rs 1,27,330 per 10 grams, declining from its all-time high. However, the safe haven’s price is trading above the Rs 1.20 lakh mark. The price of gold has risen by 4.8% over the past one week. The 22 kt gold rate today is Rs 1,16,719 per 10 grams. The 18-carat gold price today is Rs 95,498.
