The pre-wedding festivities have commenced for Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant. The couple is anticipated to tie the knot later this year.
On Friday, the inaugural ceremony, known as “Lagan Lakhvanu,” took place in Jamnagar, Gujarat, hosted at the Ambani family’s farmhouse.

During the Lagan Lakhvanu ceremony, Radhika Merchant, the bride-to-be, donned a custom-made lehenga by Anamika Khanna. The intricately designed outfit featured floral patterns accented with various sequin patches. She complemented her look with a three-tiered diamond necklace set, a maangtikka, and a bangle. Images of Ms. Merchant were shared on Instagram by makeup and hair artist Loveleen Ramchandani.

Born in 1995, Anant Ambani currently oversees the energy business at Reliance Industries Ltd., a crucial sector of investment for the Ambani family. He, along with his mother Nita Ambani, plays a significant role in guiding the family-owned Mumbai Indians, an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise.

She pursued an International Baccalaureate diploma from BD Somani International School before graduating from New York University in 2017, with a focus on politics and economics. Her professional journey began with an internship at the consulting firm Desai & Diwanji. Later, she joined Isprava, a Mumbai-based real estate company, as a junior sales manager and currently holds the position of director at Encore Healthcare.
The engagement of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani took place at the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, following their roka ceremony in December 2022. The engagement festivities unfolded in January 2023 at Ambani’s residence, Antilia.
