Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has unveiled its latest device, the Redmi 4X in China. The phone will be available in four colour options, Matte Black, Cherry Pink, and Champagne Gold. Xiaomi has still not revealed when the Redmi 4X will be available and how much it will cost in India. Last month, there was a special model exclusively for Valentine day sale and was available in ‘Hatsune Green’ colour. Meanwhile, the some of the features of the smartphone by Xiaomi are available. When it comes to design and features, the device looks very similar to the recently launched Redmi Note 4.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4X has a 5-inch HD (720p) display and is powered by the Snapdragon 435 processor. The device features a 13 MP camera at the back and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. There is a big 4,100 mAh battery under its body, which can give you up to 15 hours of continuous video playback and 18 days on standby. The smartphone has a metal unibody design and also contains the recent sensation, the fingerprint scanner. The phone has dual-SIM capability and runs on its own UI, called the MIUI 8 which is based on Google’s latest OS, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. In terms of memory, the phone is available in two variants: 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory and the 3GB RAM plus 32GB combo.
When it comes to the Redmi 4, Xiaomi used the MediaTex Helio X20 processor in China, but interestingly, in India, it used the Snapdragon 625. For the Hatsune Green variant for Valentine day sale, Xiaomi had partnered with a Japanese company called Crypton Future Media.

The Redmi 4X will be available from March. The 2+16GB variant has been priced at 699 Yuan (around Rs. 6800) and the 3GB RAM + 32GB variant costs 899 Yuan (around Rs. 8700).
