OPPO India has finally announced the launch of OPPO R5, one of the thinnest phones in the world, at a price of Rs 29,990. Measuring 4.85 mm in width and weighing 155 g, the 4G-enabled R5 comes with a octa-core Qualcomm MSM8939 processor powering a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen.
OPPO claims its R5 is the world’s first smartphone with phase-change material, keeping it at a constant temperature even during top-end functionality.
The R5’s patented “Cool Element” heat dissipation technology protects its octa-core CPU and thus prolongs the life of the phone.
The phone has a 13 MP rear camera with the latest PI 2.0 Plus Flash Shot technology. The camera takes 0.18 seconds to focus and delivers 50MP high-definition picture clarity.
The phone has a striking build with first-grade steel and and a micro-arc frame. Like with other recent launches from Oppo, the R5 also includes the company’s VOOC mini rapid charging system, where a 30-minute charge will provide 75% battery life and a five-minute charge will allow for a two-hour call.
