There’s some good news for all those in India who couldn’t lay their hands on the latest OnePlus One smartphones earlier. Amazon India has announced the first-ever open sale of OnePlus One smartphones on its marketplace today (February 10) at 10 am to celebrate the successful completion of 10 weeks of OnePlus in India.

Enthused by the fabulous response from customers so far and to return the love shown by them, OnePlus has decided to conduct the open sale where everyone is invited. Customers will not require any invite to purchase their favourite OnePlus One smartphone during the sale.

The sale would be for limited quantity, which is expected to stock out quickly given the high demand for the phone.

OnePlus One review + video: This is a flagship killer, no doubt

OnePlus One is priced at Rs 21,999, which gets a real edge when you consider that this 5.5-inch Full HD phone comes with a 64GB internal memory. The other USP of the phone, the Cyanogenmod operating system, however, has been lost to Micromax after the Indian smartphone maker managed an exclusive deal with Cyanogen just days before the OnePlus One India launch. Even then, no other phone in this price range can boast of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5GHz Quad-core, 3GB RAM, 13MP rear camera + 5MP front camera and 3100 mAh battery.

The first batch of phones coming from OnePlus in India had the Cyanogenmod OS as well as the cobranding. However, the branding was removed in subsequent batches. Those buying the first phones got the chance to update the OS to the new OS.
