Most consumers are cost-conscious and actively seek value when picking a new mobile phone. IQOO is targeting this audience with its new flagship device. The iQOO 15 is a well-packaged phone with good specs, sturdy build and long-term value. Performance is smooth and snappy in daily use, there is good battery life and an equally good camera system. It is a multitasker for work productivity, socialising or entertainment, but can it stand out in a hotly-contested market?
Powerhouse Components
Take for instance, its 6.85-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED screen. It has a 130Hz touch sampling rate, upto 144Hz refresh rate and a 508ppi pixel density. The display uses Samsung’s new M14 AMOLED panel, coming to an Android phone for the first time; we recently saw it on the iPhone 17 too. It delivers vibrant and sharp visuals, making it great for binge-watching content. Whether you are streaming, gaming, editing, or browsing, this high-quality screen provides an immersive experience.
The iQOO 15 looks durable and has IP68 and IP69 ratings for resistance against dust and water. A key attraction is a hidden ambient light strip beneath the camera that creates a subtle halo glow. Its RGB lights come in handy to notify users about a new SMS/email notification or a phone call.
Internally, we are looking at a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This is a powerful platform that offers significant CPU and GPU performance increases, enhanced AI capabilities, and new features for gaming and video. IQOO’s proprietary Supercomputing Chip Q3 chip works alongside the main processor to improve graphics rendering and reduce power consumption. It runs on Android 16 with the custom OriginOS 6 on top. Everything seems snappy and a breeze here; there is ultra-smooth app loading, the phone is very responsive, and there is no lag or stutter on demanding gaming titles.
Gaming and Multitasking
The Game Livestreaming Assistant is another attraction. An internally developed software tool, it allows users to stream gameplay to a laptop or desktop without extra hardware. It enables seamless, high-quality audio and video streaming with stable frame rates, making it easier for gamers and creators to share real-time gameplay in a lag-free experience. There is also an 8,000 sq mm VC cooling system, which keeps the phone cool in most situations.
IQOO has made significant enhancements in the cameras too. There is a versatile triple rear camera system with 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP 3x optical zoom periscope telephoto lens, which delivers vibrant photos with good exposure and dynamic range. The 50MP primary sensor delivers sharp detail, controlled contrast, and accurate exposure even in tough lighting conditions. The 32 MP front camera takes good selfies.
The 7000mAh battery is generous enough on its own to last two days of moderate use. With 100W FlashCharge, the phone powers up rapidly, letting users get back to gaming, shooting, or multitasking without long wait times. The addition of 40W wireless charging brings added convenience, offering flexible top-ups at home, at work, or on the move.
Alongside long-lasting power, the iQOO 15 also supports extended RAM technology, which uses upgraded algorithms to intelligently allocate part of the ROM as virtual RAM. This allows a 12GB RAM variant to expand up to 24GB, and a 16GB RAM variant to boost upto 32GB, ensuring smoother multitasking, reduced stutter, and sustained performance during heavy usage.
In summary, the iQOO 15 is a balanced flagship and a top-tier device that works really well across all key areas, like performance, camera, battery life, and design, rather than excelling in just one or two aspects. Highly recommended.
