One more week and yet another mobile phone has debuted in the market. This time it is InFocus, an American smartphone brand, that is testing the lucrative Indian market with their new device—InFocus M810. It is a stylish and sleek phone, available at a very good price point of Rs 12,990 on e-commerce site, Amazon.in. Few months back, they had introduced their M2 smartphone which was sold out within 12 hours of going on sale on snapdeal.com. Recently I got their M810 for a review. Let us check out the finer details of their new offering.
The first thing I observed in this handset is its elegant looks. Frankly, considering the price I never expected such kind of a premium hands-on experience. InFocus has used metal on the edges which is curved and smooth enough for perfect single hand usage. The back is protected by glass which is having a texture similar to the ones seen at the bottom side of some of the high-end devices, such as the Zenfone series.
In its 6.99 mm slim body, the fine gold craftsmanship is perfectly demonstrated by the 360 bezel cast with an extremely light alloy and the power button design in the distinguishing watch crown. The bold design of double-sided glass with special fingerprint resistant treatment shines with a radiating personal style anytime and anywhere you go. The same glass design also provides a dazzling back cover. Believe me, once you get your hands on this phone, you’ll be impressed with the build quality.
InFocus M810 has a 5.5-inch FHD capacitive touchscreen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 401 ppi pixel density. I streamed some movie clippings from YouTube and the visual experience was pretty good. The main camera is equipped with the Sony 13 MP sensor and F2.2 aperture that never misses any special moment in life. The 5 MP front facing lens with makeup feature allows you to always stay at the perfect selfie angle.
Probing the innards, the M810 has a good hardware-software mix. There is Android v5 Lollipop operating system with 2.5 GHz MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory expandable up to 64 GB and single SIM. Its 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery provides talk-time of 10 hours and standby time of 480 hours.
Switched on, the phone’s display is very vibrant and you may not notice any pixalation. The viewing angles are good too and the colours are bright to the eyes. In actual usage, the phone is pretty smooth, fast and responsive. Call quality is superior but it gets a little warm during long calls.
Overall, the M810 is a beautiful, classy device and the best part is, it doesn’t cost a bomb.
