Grok is both a chatbot and large language model (LLM) developed by Musk’s AI company xAI. First launched in November 2023, Grok has evolved rapidly. Musk later said the model had become “too eager to please and be manipulated.” xAI attributed the incident to overly lenient prompt compliance and has promised adjustments to improve safety while maintaining its free-speech ethos.
