While today’s TVs offer very good visuals, sound is a major issue due to their ultra-slim designs. Less physical space prevents TV makers from fitting quality speakers inside, resulting in thin, muffled, or unbalanced audio. Honeywell’s newly launched Trueno U8000 soundbar can help you overcome this handicap. Connect it to your TV and you get to enjoy a 3D surround sound system with our 700 watt Dolby Atmos output. This is a 5.1 channel setup that is ideal for gaming, movies, or music that you can stream from your mobile phone or laptop. It includes a powerful subwoofer with a large driver and two wireless satellite speakers for a theatre-like sound from every direction.

The soundbar supports wireless streaming via Bluetooth v5.4 and offers multiple wired options, including AUX, USB, Optical Input, and HDMI/ARC. It features four equaliser (EQ) modes: Music, Movie, News, and Night, to tailor the audio output to different types of content. It comes with a remote control for easy operation and a sleek, minimalist design that blends well with modern home decor.

At my end, I set up the soundbar in close proximity to the wall-mounted TV. The setup is easy, no rocket science here, just follow the instructions and you are good to go. I watched a lot of movies on Netflix, endlessly browsed YouTube videos and also watched/listened to English and Hindi songs from 1980s and early 90s, and I must admit that this Honeywell soundbar packs a punch with its 700 watt output and 5.1 channel setup. Along with the sub-woofer and the satellite speakers, it  creates a wide soundstage that makes us feel like we’re right in the middle of the action. Especially when we are watching Clint Eastwood’s classic Westerns like Unforgiven and The Outlaw.

I evaluated the soundbar with a variety of music, from English ballads to Bollywood hits. It handled everything I threw at it with ease, delivering rich, detailed sound without the bass drowning out the vocals. If you are a RD Burman fan then you’ll notice that some of his Hindi songs from the 80s feature a rich and innovative use of bass. Bass lovers will be happy with the deep, rumbling lows produced by the Honeywell setup, especially at higher volumes.

Movies and games sounded fantastic too on this Honeywell soundbar. Action-packed scenes in films like Matt Damon’s The Bourne series were incredibly immersive. The dialogues remained clear and easy to comprehend. Overall, the Honeywell Trueno U8000 delivers a well-rounded audio experience that’s perfect for movies, music, and gaming. It is ideal for families desiring a complete entertainment system.
