WhatsApp this year introduced Channels feature and since then the company has introduced multiple features to further enhance the user experience. In its latest iOS beta version 23.23.1.71, WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to filter reactions to channel updates, reports WaBetaInfo.

Currently available to select beta testers via the TestFlight app, this new ability is set to grant channel admins the ability to filter reactions to their channel updates.

According to WaBetaInfo, this new feature allows channel administrators to promptly identify which of their contacts have reacted to their channel content using emojis. By doing so, it simplifies the process of understanding the popularity of specific updates among their audience. Notably, this innovation presents a private and exclusive tool accessible solely to channel admins. Even if someone is following the same channel as you, they will not have access to view the reactions to channel updates.

The introduction of this reaction filtering feature is expected to enhance interaction and feedback for channel administrators, ultimately enabling users to refine their content-sharing strategies based on precise data. As the beta version gains traction among testers, the feature is expected to roll out to a wider user base in the days to come.

WhatsApp recently also introduced the ability to open conversations with unknown contacts without adding their phone numbers to the phone book. The feature is currently being tested with select beta testers on Windows.
