WhatsApp brings a bunch of exciting updates for its calling features. The new updates are aimed at improving the social media platform’s calling feature.The new features are applicable for both mobile version and the desktop version.
Today around 2 billion calls are being made through WhatsApp. It’s one of the most loved social media apps. So, in order to enhance the users experience two new features will be added. Let’s have a look at what awaits ahead!
WhatsApp enhance its calling features
So, what are the new updates? First you get an updated feature in the ‘group call’ option. Now you can choose the person you want to add in your group call. Earlier you had this option to include everyone in the group call as it was. But now you can actually choose who to include from the group. is perfect for situations where you only need to talk to a few people from a larger group. This is especially helpful for making plans that require a bit of privacy, like organising a surprise party or coordinating holiday gifts.
Another update is for video calling features. Now you get a bunch of stickers and effects video calling interface. WhatsApp aims to add a fun yurt easy to use twist with new effects. There will be ten different options to choose from. This eventually allows you to make your video calls more entertaining. For example you can add puppy ears, or create a fake appearance as if you are in underwater and look like you’re holding a microphone for karaoke, among others.
Other updates
Apart from the above mentioned features, WhatsApp desktop users are also getting some updates. For example, when you open the calls tab, you’ll now find it easier to start a call, create a call link, or even dial a number directly.
In addition to this, you also get higher picture and calling quality in WhatsApp. This comes for both the website and app version.
