Stickers have become a key part of WhatsApp chats, offering a fun and colourful way to express emotions beyond just words. They let users show feelings, jokes, and reactions in a visual way that emojis alone can’t capture. Stickers make conversations livelier and more personal, helping people connect more deeply.
In its latest update, WhatsApp is significantly enhancing user experience on iOS with a host of new features designed to improve sticker management and media interactions. The update, version 24.17.78, is now available on the App Store and introduces several key improvements, according to report from WaBetaInfo.
Streamlined sticker management
One of the standout features of this update is the upgraded sticker management system. WhatsApp users can now move their favourite stickers to the top of their collection, allowing for quicker access during conversations. Additionally, the update enables users to rearrange stickers within the tray, offering a more customised and efficient sticker experience.
Enhanced sticker search with GIPHY integration
The new update also brings a major enhancement to sticker search functionality. By integrating GIPHY’s expansive library, WhatsApp now offers more accurate and diverse search results. This integration helps users find the perfect sticker to express their emotions, even if it’s not part of their personal collection. Users can easily search through GIPHY’s vast selection to find animated stickers that best convey their message.
Improved media interaction
In addition to sticker updates, WhatsApp has improved interactions within the media viewer. Users can now reply to messages or react with emojis directly from the media viewer screen. New shortcuts at the bottom of the screen allow users to reply to photos, videos, or GIFs without leaving the viewer. The reaction shortcut enables quick emoji responses, enhancing the efficiency of media interactions.
These features are being rolled out gradually, so some users may not see them immediately. To ensure access to the latest features, users are encouraged to regularly update WhatsApp via the App Store and the TestFlight app.
