Call it the Redmi 14C 5G launch effect. Vivo has announced a price cut on its popular T3x 5G smartphone, a few days before the launch of Xiaomi’s budget competitor. Vivo T3x 5G price in India has been slashed by Rs 1,000 and so, it now starts at a cool new Rs 12,499.
The T3x 5G comes in a choice of 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB. The Rs 1,000 price cut applies across the whole lineup. The revised prices are as follows: Rs 12,499 (previously Rs 13,499), Rs 13,999 (Rs 14,999 previously), and Rs 15,499 (earlier Rs 16,499). The price cut seems permanent, as of this point. Vivo T3x 5G: Specs, features
The Vivo T3x 5G has a 6.72-inch 1080p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. Running the show is Android 14 with Vivo’s Funtouch OS. For photography, the T3x has dual rear cameras headlined by a 50-megapixel main sensor paired to another 2-megapixel portrait sensor. The front camera is an 8-megapixel. The phone has other quality-of-life features like IP64 dust and water resistance rating and dual speakers.
Redmi 14C 5G India launch details
The T3x is set to lock horns with the Xiaomi Redmi 14C 5G in the coming days. The 14C will launch officially on January 6, 2025 in roughly the same ball park price point. The Redmi 14C 5G is confirmed to come with a 6.88-inch 720p display with a 120Hz refresh rate and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. The phone is likely to borrow other hardware from the Redmi 14C 4G variant including 50MP main camera, Android 14-based Xiaomi HyperOS, and a 5,160 mAh battery with 18W charging.
