Vivo is gearing for its next smartphone launch in India. Barely a few days after launching the V30 series, Vivo has announced that it is planning to launch the Vivo T3 5G smartphone in the country on March 21. The T3 will likely be a follow-up to last year’s T2 5G (the T2 Pro and T2 x were released in the same year) and will be sold on Flipkart.
Anyhow, the T-series from Vivo brings gaming-focused chops on a budget and that seems to be the case with the upcoming T3 as well. The phone is confirmed to come rocking a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor for a seemingly lag-free gaming experience without breaking your bank. The same chip is also seen inside the recently launched iQOO Z9. In fact, there’s a good chance that the Vivo T3 will share a lot of its hardware with the Z9 with a few minor differences here and there.
Like for instance, the T3 will come with a triple camera setup on the rear (the iQOO Z9 has two), and Vivo has teased that it will use a Sony sensor with optically stabilised lens. We have an inkling that it would be the 50-megapixel Sony IMX882, same as the Z9. The rest of the package could include an ultra-wide and depth while on the front, it will reportedly come with a 16-megapixel camera for selfies, same as the Z9.
The Vivo T3 will arrive in two colours including blue and black/grey with a flat chassis. The display will be flat, too, with a hole punch cutout at the centre. More details are awaited.
In related news, Vivo launched the V30 series in India recently. The line-up spawns two models— Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro. The V30 Pro comes equipped with ZEISS optics and has a starting price of Rs 41,999. The V30 price in India starts at Rs 33,999.
