The start of 2026 is bringing several new smartphones to the Indian market. Big brands like Realme, Redmi, Oppo, and Poco are ready with fresh launches aimed at different types of users. From camera-focused phones to strong mid-range options, January is shaping up to be an exciting month for smartphone buyers.

Realme 16 Pro Series

Realme is one of the first brands to bring their latest smartphones in 2026. The Realme 16 Pro series will launch on January 6, 2026. The lineup will include the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro Plus. Both devices will bring a premium design and a focus on good cameras. The Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro Plus will pack a 200-megapixel main sensor. While the latter also gets a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The two devices will get a metal finish on their camera modules.

The Realme 16 Pro Plus will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, with the more affordable 16 Pro getting a MediaTek Dimensity 7000 series chipset. Both phones will also come with massive 7,000mAh batteries with support for 80W fast charging.

Alongside the Realme 16 Pro series, the company is also going to launch the Realme Pad 3 in India. The device will succeed the Pad, which was launched in July 2023. The Pad 3 will come with a 12,200mAh battery and a 2.8K display. You can also expect AI features on the device.

Redmi Note 15 5G

Redmi’s first launch of 2026 has a lot at stake. The Redmi Note series is one of Xiaomi’s most popular lineups in India, and the Note 15 5G has big shoes to fill. The Redmi Note 15 5G will launch on January 6, 2026, the same day as Realme’s 16 Pro series.

The Redmi Note 15 5G will pack a 108-megapixel main camera, with support for 4K video recording. The device gets a curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a thickness of just 7.35mm. Under the hood, the Note 15 5G uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. You also get a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

Redmi will also launch the Pad 2 Pro 5G in India on the same day as the Note 15 5G. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G will come with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support, along with a QHD+ display. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. The Pad 2 Pro 5G also gets a 12,000mAh battery.

Poco M8

Poco is expected to launch the Poco M8 on January 8. While full details are not yet clear, the phone is expected to be a budget-friendly option. Poco phones are usually known for offering good performance at lower prices, so the M8 may attract students and first-time smartphone buyers.

Oppo Reno 15 Series

Oppo is set to launch the Reno 15 series in India next month. While the company has not given a release date yet, you can already purchase a privilege pack for the Reno 15 series before it goes on sale. Oppo has confirmed that the lineup will include the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Mini.

Oppo has confirmed the display specs for the Reno 15 series. The Reno 15 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, the Reno 15 Pro Mini will get a 6.32-inch AMOLED panel with Gorilla Glass 7i, and the standard Reno 15 will use a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 7i. All three models also feature IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for durability.
