Upcoming smartphones in July 2025: If you are willing to go smartphone shopping this July, there are a bunch of new devices to look forward to. Even as the world awaits the next-gen iPhone 17 series, Android manufacturers are in no mood to give up any opportunity at grabbing attention and come up with more options for everyone. Nothing is all set to steal the show with its long-awaited flagship phone, called the Nothing Phone (3), promising high-end specifications and a premium user experience.

However, since we touched upon flagships, it is tricky to ignore the foldable flagships from Samsung – the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. These phones are expected to focus on losing weight and compete with Huawei’s flagships in slimness. Vivo, on the other hand, wants to go the OnePlus 13s way with its X200 FE compact flagship this month. Oppo is also interested in retaining its glory in the midrange segment with the newer Reno 14 5G series.

Here’s a look at some of the smartphones expected to arrive in July 2025:

Nothing Phone (3)

Following its predecessors, Nothing is set to launch its first premium flagship smartphone on July 1. Called the Phone (3), it’s rumoured to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset along with significant camera enhancements over the outgoing Phone (2). While the design seems to carry forward the semi-transparent back panel, Nothing has officially confirmed doing away with the Glyph Interface. This means no more flashy LED lights on the back of your Nothing handset.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7

Samsung’s annual refresh of its popular foldable line-up is highly anticipated for late July. Samsung’s official teaser has hinted at an ultra-slim Galaxy Z Fold device that could spawn an Ultra variant. The Fold 7, Fold 7 Ultra and the Flip 7 are expected to be slimmer, lighter, more powerful and feature-rich than its predecessors. Samsung is yet to reveal anything about the specs, cameras or even the potential launch date.

OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5

July could also see OnePlus refreshing its popular Nord lineup. After the success of the Nord 4, OnePlus is expected to upgrade it with the Nord 5. The Nord 5 could retain the metal unibody design of the Nord 4 but may oversee a more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, a large 7,000mAh battery and 100W fast wired charging. The Nord CE 5, on the other hand, is tipped to feature a Dimensity 8350 processor and a 7,100mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

Vivo X Fold 5 and X200 FE

Vivo is rumoured to continue with its flagship ambitions with the X Fold 5 and X200 FE. The X Fold 5 is expected to be Vivo’s flagship foldable with an 8.03-inch inner AMOLED screen and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The X200 FE is anticipated to be a rebranded version of the S30 Pro Mini, this translating into a package offering a 6.3-inch display, a 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging and a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset.

Oppo Reno 14 5G

The Oppo Reno 14 5G is already selling in China and is expected to launch in India around early July 2025. It features a 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, a versatile 50MP triple rear camera system, including a 3.5x optical zoom telephoto lens, and a 50MP front camera. With a large 6000mAh battery and 80W fast charging, coupled with IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, the Reno 14 5G could challenge the meaty midrange segment under Rs 35,000 in India.

Poco F7 5G

The Poco F7 5G could be launching in India around early July 2025 as a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro. It is likely to feature a IP68/IP69-rated design, a large 6.83-inch 120Hz OLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, alongside a 20MP selfie camera. A standout feature is its massive 7,550mAh battery with 90W fast charging.
