If you are a Reliance Jio prepaid user, your options are limited in case you want a plan with no daily limits on data. No daily data limit means you’re free to use as much “high-speed” data as possible. Say if you have 25GB of data in your plan, you’re free to consume it all in one day or split it up per your need and convenience.

Generally speaking, Jio prepaid (and postpaid) plans give you 1GB/1.5GB/2GB so on and so forth of high-speed data per day. Once you consume it, your speed will go down drastically and you’ll have to wait for the next day to access high-speed data again. While most people are happy with the arrangement, some may prefer to have more high-speed date at their disposal. For those users, Jio has only one prepaid recharge plan. Since this is a one-of-its-kind plan, we might as well call it “exclusive.”

Jio Rs 296 prepaid recharge plan—validity, benefits

The plan in question is Jio’s Rs 296 plan. The standout feature of this plan is that it—also—gets you unlimited 5G data if you’re an eligible candidate, meaning that you’re in one of the areas where Jio offers its 5G welcome service. So, technically, you can use as much data as possible without having to worry about time and space. However, if that’s not the case or if 5G connectivity is spotty or you don’t have a 5G-enabled handset, the Rs 296 plan bundles 25GB of data without any data capping on per day basis.

This means, you can use the allotted 25GB of high-speed data, as you like. Once you exhaust this quota, your speed will go down to 64 kbps, but you’ll still remain connected. When that happens, you can obviously opt for a data recharge voucher separately, if the need arises.

The Rs 296 prepaid recharge plan from Jio additionally offers unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day, much like most Jio prepaid plans. You also get complimentary access to JioTV, JioCinema and JioCloud though there are no OTT subscriptions available with the plan.

Jio prepaid plans start at as low as Rs 149 so clearly, the “no daily limit” perk comes at a cost. But, if the use case is such, it’s a no-brainer purchase. Why Jio only has one such pan in its extensive catalogue is a question for the ages especially since Airtel offers a bit more flexibility in this regard.
