Sony has partnered with Gurugram-based quick-commerce platform Blinkit (formerly Grofers) to start a “10-minute delivery” service for the PlayStation 5 “slim” game console. The irony is not lost on us. The PS5 slim is arriving in India almost six months after launch in the US. But as they say, better late than never. Prospective buyers can expect deliveries in less than ten minutes in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai.

The PlayStation 5 slim is the mid-cycle refresh of Sony’s flagship PS5. Thanks to updated design and internals, it is up to 30 percent smaller than the gargantuan PS5, and also up to 24 percent lighter. The core hardware remains largely unchanged though and so, it’s just as powerful.
At the same time, the console brings some quality of life improvements including 1TB storage and two USB Type-C ports. Like the PS5, the slim counterpart will also be available in disc and digital formats. The former is priced at Rs 54,990 while the latter will set you back by Rs 44,990.
Blinkit recently also partnered with Samsung to deliver the Galaxy S24 series. The Sony partnership is the first time, it will deliver game consoles to buyers.
