Continuing its legacy to churn out limited-edition devices, to keep things both fresh and peppy for its customer base, Samsung has launched an all-new Galaxy Z Flip 5 in partnership with the Parisian haute couture house Maison Margiela. The model is so “exclusive”, Samsung plans to sell it via a lottery-system in its home market. Even outside, you can expect limited quantities, though Samsung doesn’t mention a number. The look and feel will of course be the big sales pitch, but those craving for more simpler times would appreciate another thing. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5 Maison Margiela Edition will ship with a charging brick in the box, or at least that is what one of its teaser images seems to suggest.
Seems Samsung stopped bunding chargers with its devices a long time ago, following hot on the heels of arch-rival Apple. And it’s not just with top-tier flagships either. Getting a charger in the box is a rarity in Samsung phones at the time of writing so much so that every once in a while, when one is spotted, you’re bound to give it a second look. And so, we’d like to reiterate, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Maison Margiela Edition comes with a charger in the box. It’s fully custom made, too, with Maison Margiela branding and all. While the standard version does not. You’ll have to pay a bit extra for the perk though. The model comes in at a whopping 2,497,000 won which roughly translates to Rs 1,60,400. The memory configuration is 512GB.

Now, the aesthetic part. Samsung says the limited-edition Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a rear glass with a design scheme that “boldly shows the inner workings of a Maison Margiela jacket enhanced by the silver and metallic effects.” It will also come with two exclusive set of back cover cases, Flap Leather and Flipsuit, both with their own unique styles. Rest of the specs remain standard.
As for availability, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Maison Margiela Edition will be available in Korea, China, and Hong Kong.
