Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: What to expect
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumoured to arrive with a sleeker, noticeably thinner design, measuring around 4.2mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded, making it potentially the lightest book-style foldable to date at approximately 216 grams. It is expected to boast larger displays, featuring a 6.5-inch outer AMOLED screen and an 8-inch inner AMOLED foldable display, both supporting a 120Hz refresh rate for fluid visuals.
Under the hood, the device is tipped to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options up to 1TB. A major highlight is the rumoured triple-rear camera setup, headlined by a powerful 200MP main sensor, complemented by a 10MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide lens. Powering the device is a 4,400mAh battery with support for 25W or 45W fast charging. It will run on Android 15 with One UI 7, and Samsung is expected to offer seven years of software updates. Expected pricing for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in India is likely to start from Rs 1,69,990, with some reports suggesting a potential increase up to Rs 1,79,000. It is anticipated to be available in Blue, Black, Silver, Coral Red, Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Silver Shadow colours.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7: What to expect
The clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also slated for a substantial upgrade. Its most notable design change is a significantly larger 4-inch to 4.1-inch cover screen, wrapping around the dual camera lenses, offering more interactive widgets and notifications without opening the device. The main foldable screen is expected to be a 6.9-inch (or 6.85-inch) inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2600 nits.
Performance is expected from either Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 SoC or the Snapdragon 8 Elite, coupled with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The camera system is likely to feature a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP or 12MP front-facing camera, enhanced by Galaxy AI-powered editing tools. A 4,300mAh battery with 25W or 33W fast charging is expected to deliver improved endurance. Running Android 15 with One UI 7, the Flip 7 is also expected to receive seven years of OS and security updates. The expected price for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in India is between Rs 98,990 and Rs 1,07,999. Vibrant colour options like Coral Red, Blue Shadow, Jet Black, Classic White, Midnight Black, Porcelain, Rose, Hazel, and Obsidian are anticipated.
Additionally, a more budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is rumored to launch, offering a compelling entry point into the foldable market, with an expected price around Rs 69,990.
