What to expect from the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event?
The Galaxy S25 series should be the showstopper of the event with Samsung taking the wraps off the three new “AI-powered” smartphones—Galaxy S25, S5 Plus, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a key focus, Samsung has made it abundantly clear ahead of D-day. The devices—whatever they are called eventually—come with the promise of “more natural and intuitive experience.”
Samsung has teased at least one Galaxy AI feature of the upcoming S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. The Sketch to Image tool is getting a makeover—possibly with the new One UI 7 update—and will be able to generate images using text prompts. That’s right, Samsung is giving it multimodal capabilities going as far as to say, “if it can be envisioned, Galaxy AI can create it.” Whether the feature will trickle down to other Galaxy devices like the Galaxy S24 and S24 Ultra, remains unclear at the time of writing.
Samsung Galaxy S25 series roundup: Expected specs, features and more
Samsung can’t catch a break with the Galaxy S25 series leaks. As is usually the case, there is enough material on the Internet today, to get you to paint a picture of what’s in store from the S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. Basis of everything we know so far, here’s what to expect from Samsung’s next Galaxy S series devices:
Samsung Galaxy S25 specs: The S25 is said to feature a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a FHD+ (2340×1080) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 4000mAh battery capable of charging wired (at up to 25W) and wirelessly. Memory options could go up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Driving it is Samsung One UI 7 based on Android 15. We’re expecting 7-years of software updates like last year. For photography, the S25 apparently has a 50-megapixel wide, 12-megapixel ultrawide and another 10-megapixel telephoto camera setup on the rear. The front camera is a 12MP. Physical dimensions are tipped at 146.9 x 70.5 x 7.2mm and 162 grams, with Samsung going for a flat chassis and minimal bezels.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus specs: The S25 Plus should be a bigger S25 with a 6.7-inch 2K or 1440p display, a larger 4900mAh battery with faster 45W wired charging, and slightly tweaked dimensions at 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3mm and 190 grams. The performance and cameras are likely to remain the same as the S25.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra specs: The S25 Ultra reportedly has a 6.9-inch 1440p 120Hz display and a 5000mAh battery. The cameras are more powerful with a 200-megapixel primary, 50-megapixel ultrawide, 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto, and another 10MP 3x telephoto. The phone measures 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm and weighs 218 grams, per leaks. The chip remains standard—Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy—but storage goes up to 1TB.
Samsung Galaxy S25 series price expectations
Speculation is rife that Samsung plans to price the Galaxy S25 series a bit higher than the S24 line-up phones. In other words, the S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, will be more expensive than the S24, S4 Plus, and S24 Ultra, if online chatter is anything to go by.
Samsung Galaxy S25 price: The S25 will start at Rs 84,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. A model with 512GB storage will set you back by Rs 94,999.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus price: The S25 Plus is rumoured to start at Rs 1,04,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while a version with 512GB storage can go up to Rs 1,14,999.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra price: The S25 Ultra is said to start at Rs 1,34,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The 16/512GB variant is said to arrive at Rs 1,44,999, while the top-end 16GB/1TB model can go up to Rs 1,64,999.
